Taman Gumi Banten

Heavens Portfolio is working closely with Rotary to replant non-overgrown lands with mangroves. This pilot land rehabilitation activity was carried out in the Nusa Dua area. Precisely to the south of the lagoon field, the Kawasan Mangrove Forest, currently used as a garbage dump by the surrounding community, will undergo a rehabilitation concept in stages.

The second phase of the project is the construction of decomposing cages to process organic waste. During the low tide, these cages will be filled with organic waste around the mangroves. After leaving them for about 3 months, the area will be planted with mangroves by adding a little mud or soil.

The third phase of the project is to invite the community to take advantage of non-timber mangrove forest products, such as cultivating bees while also participating in mangrove conservation to minimize damage to mangrove forests.

Ultimately, we hope that The Taman Gumi Banten will also be a place of education and conservation and become a destination of ecotourism that is managed independently by the community around it.
